The Dark History behind Birth Control in America

Birth Control was designed to sterilize women, not empower them.

There is a very dark and very evil history behind birth control in America, it is a history that is not taught in schools, nor is it explained in doctor’s offices to unsuspecting and trusting women. Birth Control and the propagandic machine behind its presentation to women across this county is all thanks to Margaret Sanger, Sir Francis Galton and many other bad actors.

Eugenics emerged in the United States in the late nineteenth and early twentieth century, the man responsible for coining this term was Sir Francis Galton. Eugenics is defined as the study of how to arrange reproduction within a human population to increase the occurrence of heritable characteristics regarded as desirable. This term and its associated philosophies grew in popularity with upper class White Americans due to the fact that at the turn of the century, the US faced a high influx of immigration from eastern and southern Europe and migration of African Americans from southern to northern American cities, this caused societal shifts and anxiety for the white American population. This rapid shift worried powerful, upper-class whites, which led many of them to adopt Eugenics as a way to preserve the “American way of life”. Eugenics was then embraced by scientists, social activists, and politicians as a progressive social movement. The most notable figure to adopt the eugenics mindset was Margaret Sanger; the founder of the birth control movement in the United States.

Margaret Sanger is touted as a hero for women, she was the founder of Planned Parenthood and championed the birth control movement in the U.S. but right under that glossy veneer lies a complicated, dark and shocking underbelly regarding Sanger’s true intentions with the birth control movement. Sanger’s strong support of Eugenics was no secret, she started “The Negro Project” in 1939 which aimed to extend birth control services into the black community specifically in the south. In a December 10th 1939 letter Sanger wrote:

“We do not want word to go out that we want to exterminate the Negro population.”

Additionally Sanger was quoted referring to the black population as “reckless breeders” and “human weeds” Sanger was a racist with horrendous beliefs that whites were superior to all other races. Sanger believed that through selective breeding, social ills could be eliminated, and the human race could be perfected. Methods for attaining a ‘better race’ included segregation, social exclusion, and involuntary sterilization, and in North Carolina alone, an estimated 7,600 citizens were sterilized between 1933 and 1977. She adamantly viewed birth control as another means to eliminate the reproduction of the “feeble-minded.” In her piece Morality and Birth Control, Sanger said that birth control “must lead to a higher individuality and ultimately to a cleaner race” and that “All of our problems are the result of overbreeding among the working class.”

Also, on the topic of birth control, Sanger said in her book Woman and the New Race that birth control “is nothing more or less than the facilitation of the process of weeding out the unfit, of preventing the birth of defectives or of those who will become defectives.”

On eugenics and selective breeding, Sanger wrote in her own autobiography, “The eugenists wanted to shift the birth control emphasis from less children for the poor to more children for the rich. We went back on that and sought to first stop the multiplication of the unfit. This appeared the most important and greatest step towards race betterment.”

The progressive era in the US was anything but when it came to women’s reproductive rights, Sanger made sure that her Birth Control Movement was packaged in pretty propagandized wrapping telling women that they were liberated and empowered with the ability to prevent pregnancy but that wasn’t true at all, Birth Control was about eliminating the “less desirables”, which included anyone disabled, poor, or any person of color, including my people (American Indians.)

We see further evidence of this evil thinking in the supreme court case Buck V. Bell a 1927 case which upheld Virginia’s Eugenical Sterilization Act, authorizing the state of Virginia to forcibly sterilize Carrie Buck, a young, poor white woman the state determined to be unfit to procreate. Buck is most often quoted for its shock value in six little words.

“Three generations of imbeciles are enough.”

However Justice Holmes said far more than that. “We have seen more than once that the public welfare may call upon the best citizens for their lives. It would be strange if it could not call upon those who already sap the strength of the State for these lesser sacrifices, often not felt to be such by those concerned, in order to prevent our being swamped with incompetence. It is better for all the world if, instead of waiting to execute degenerate offspring for crime or to let them starve for their imbecility, society can prevent those who are manifestly unfit from continuing their kind.”

In laments terms… some lives just matter more than others. Buck’s lasting power is evident with how it continues to shape public norms and legal interpretations about the humanity and dignity of Black, Latinx, Indigenous, and disabled bodies and minds even to this day.

Birth Control works by tricking the brain into thinking that you are pregnant all of the time. This is why when you take the pill you stop menstruating, the body is being micro dosed every day by a barrage of synthetic hormones. Over time this leads to dozens of health issues, including but not limited to, infertility, depression and anxiety, cancer, heart attack and stroke, weight gain, severe hormonal imbalance, thyroid issues, hair loss, and higher risk of HPV just to name a few.

I am tired of seeing doctors flippantly prescribing birth control to women and ESPECIALLY young teen girls. This is not in the name of health, this is in the name of usury. Make no mistake; Margaret Sanger may no longer be with us, but her Birth Control is… and its formulation is the same as it was when it was introduced.

Some important questions to ask yourself

Who profits from millions of women using birth control pharma?

When women realize they are struggling from infertility and decide on IVF, who profits?

With the expense of IVF who has access to those modalities?

Why are young girls getting their periods so much sooner? (Think big food)

Earlier periods means earlier birth control users… who profits?

Understanding the history of birth control is vital for any woman (or man) who really seeks to understand the motives behind the madness. This dark and twisted history should be painted all over town, but sadly it is kept out of the light and millions of women buy into the lie that birth control is about their sexual freedom and more sadly that birth control is the best form of protection from unwanted pregnancy.

Birth control is poison. Period. End of story.

SO what am I supposed to do instead??

There are SO MANY alternatives to birth control

In regards to pregnancy:

  • Only sleep with people that you truly see a future with. Discernment and intuition are natural gifts that every woman has… USE THEM

  • Family planning method; track your cycle and refrain from sex when you know that you are within your fertile window. there are several GREAT apps out there to help make this easy

  • Condoms… I don’t think this one needs any more explaining

In regards to PCOS

If your doctor tells you that birth control is the answer to your PCOS. FIND A NEW DOCTOR. PCOS is caused by insulin resistance, birth control only masks PCOS it does not heal the body

In regards to acne

Any doctor that suggests birth control as the answer for acne is a lazy or uneducated doctor. Acne flares for MANY reasons. Work with a root cause healer, functional medicine doctor, or other practitioner who understands blood chemistry on a deep level and can help you HEAL your hormonal imbalance, which in turn will HEAL your acne.

Knowledge is power, do not be fooled by the propaganda, take back your Sovereignty!
